What makes Frankies Extra Virgin Olive Oil unique primarily is that it is delicious. The product packaging has a unique, nostalgic eye appeal. Amazing taste and good looks aside, it is one of the only extra virgin olive oils to carry both the esteemed DOP certification and the USDA Organic Certification. The product comes from the DOP (Protected Denomination of Origin) of Nocellara del Belice, which is consistently rated in the top 5 DOP's in all of Italy. Our producers own almost all of the acreage in this DOP, which gives us a veritable exclusive on the quantity of this product from this region. Its flavor and acidity make it the perfect olive oil for cold, warm and hot preparations. When Frankies Extra Virgin Olive Oil is served cold, the flavor is clean and crisp with a burst of pure delicious olive flavor, completely lacking the ugly, burning aftertaste some extra virgin olive oils exhibit. When used in hot preparations such as pastas, it has the perfect viscosity to emulsify and give the allusion of butter without the use of an animal fat, while still displaying its clean olive flavor clearly and brightly without fading.
